Cinder

Humans and androids crowd the raucous streets of New Beijing. A deadly plague ravages the population. From space, a ruthless lunar people watch, waiting to make their move. No one knows that Earth’s fate hinges on one girl.

Cinder, a gifted mechanic, is a cyborg. She’s a second-class citizen with a mysterious past, reviled by her stepmother and blamed for her stepsister’s illness. But when her life becomes intertwined with the handsome Prince Kai’s, she suddenly finds herself at the center of an intergalactic struggle, and a forbidden attraction. Caught between duty and freedom, loyalty and betrayal, she must uncover secrets about her past in order to protect her world’s future.

Cress

In this third book in the Lunar Chronicles, Cinder and Captain Thorne are fugitives on the run, now with Scarlet and Wolf in tow. Together, they’re plotting to overthrow Queen Levana and her army.

Their best hope lies with Cress, a girl imprisoned on a satellite since childhood who's only ever had her netscreens as company. All that screen time has made Cress an excellent hacker. Unfortunately, she’s just received orders from Levana to track down Cinder and her handsome accomplice.

When a daring rescue of Cress goes awry, the group is separated. Cress finally has her freedom, but it comes at a high price. Meanwhile, Queen Levana will let nothing prevent her marriage to Emperor Kai. Cress, Scarlet, and Cinder may not have signed up to save the world, but they may be the only hope the world has.

Scarlet

Cinder, the cyborg mechanic, returns in the second thrilling installment of the bestselling Lunar Chronicles. She's trying to break out of prison--even though if she succeeds, she'll be the Commonwealth's most wanted fugitive.

Halfway around the world, Scarlet Benoit's grandmother is missing. It turns out there are many things Scarlet doesn't know about her grandmother or the grave danger she has lived in her whole life. When Scarlet encounters Wolf, a street fighter who may have information as to her grandmother's whereabouts, she is loath to trust this stranger, but is inexplicably drawn to him, and he to her. As Scarlet and Wolf unravel one mystery, they encounter another when they meet Cinder. Now, all of them must stay one step ahead of the vicious Lunar Queen Levana, who will do anything for the handsome Prince Kai to become her husband, her king, her prisoner.

Winter

Here is the stunning conclusion to the national bestselling Lunar Chronicles, inspired by Snow White.

When Princess Winter was thirteen, the rumor around the Lunar court was that her glamour would soon be even more breathtaking than that of her stepmother, Queen Levana. In a fit of jealousy, Levana disfigured Winter. Four years later, Winter has sworn off the use of her glamour altogether. Despite her scars, Winter’s natural beauty, her grace, and her gentleness are winning admiration from the Lunar people that no amount of mind-control could achieve.

Winter despises her stepmother, but has never dreamed of standing up to her. That is, until she realizes that she may be the only one with the power to confront the queen.

Can Cinder, Prince Kai, Scarlet, Wolf, Cress, Thorne, Princess Winter, and the palace guard Jacin find their happily ever afters? Fans will LOVE this amazing conclusion to the series.

Fairest

(Lunar Chronicles novella)

In this stunning bridge book between Cress and Winter in the bestselling Lunar Chronicles, Queen Levana’s story is finally told.

Mirror, mirror on the wall,
Who is the fairest of them all?

Fans of the Lunar Chronicles know Queen Levana as a ruler who uses her “glamour” to gain power. But long before she crossed paths with Cinder, Scarlet, and Cress, Levana lived a very different story – a story that has never been told . . . until now.

Marissa Meyer spins yet another unforgettable tale about love and war, deceit and death. This extraordinary book includes full-color art and an excerpt from Winter, the next book in the Lunar Chronicles series.

Reviews

Cinder

  • Lauren's Review: 5 Stars

    • This book was amazing! There were some sad parts and parts where you just wanted to pull your hair out while suggesting courses of action for the main character. When I first started this book, I thought it was really weird. I had never really thought I would enjoy a book with a cyborg as the main character. Who knew!

    • I love how the main character is a cyborg! The plot of Cinder is amazing. Some times it's really sad, but then it's hopeful. The characters are relatable and I love Iko!

Overall Thoughts: Sci-fi dystopian is great! Especially when it's written well!

Scarlet

    • This was an amazing sequel to Cinder!!! I loved it! I'll have to get Cress as soon as possible, and it will be torture waiting for Winter until 2015.

  • Katy's Review: 5 Stars

    • This is an amazing sequel! It is a little slow in some spots but was great overall. I liked how the book was told from the points of view of different characters who's stories all came together in the end of the book.

Cress

  • Lauren's Review: 5 Stars

    • (Spoilers) I loved this book so much and I can't wait for winter!!! It was so sad when cress's dad died and I loved when Cinder captured Kai and then he kissed her!!! That was one of the best parts in the book!!! I totally think that Winter will be about Princess Winter and I really hope that winter helps Cinder regain her throne and doesn't try to keep her from her throne because that would totally suck!!! When does winter come out??? I have to know!!!

  • Katy's Review: 5 Stars

    • I love how new characters are introduced in every book and how their stories fit together so well. I loooove Carswell Thorne and his connection to Cress. This was the best book in the series! I can't wait for Winter!

Fairest

  • Katy's Review: 5 Stars

    • Fairest was a great add on to the lunar chronicles series! It turns out Levana wasn't always evil...her sister was the reason she became so horrible. Fairest was a great addition to the series.
